Vag Com Strange Message

Whilst my Galaxy was being remapped the guy ran VAG com before and after to ensure everything was ok, it showed up several fault codes which I was aware of, the usual stuff, like air circulation flap etc, but one was very unusual, it was from a while ago by the look of it, that said 'flame extinguished' ! <_< , whats that all about, it sounds a bit bizarre, anyone any idea, or anyone with VAG com shed any light on it ?? :blink:

I take it he didn't do a screen dump of the codes for this fault??

No, he didn't do a screen dump, but I wish now I'd asked him to, as it was an interesting message that he and I had never seen before.

No joy I'm afraid and without the fault code even less of a chance of finding it. None of the EOBDII fault code descriptions include the word "flame" either.

Hello mate thanks for the message regarding remap :( i'll be keeping an eye out for his special deals, i am interested in what you said about the recirc flap not working, this is what showed up on my mates vag com and i was wondering if you have climate control and if so does the panel flash on start up, mine does and i was looking to change the recirc flap solenoid to try and cure the problem.
